Choosing the Right Attorney

Your attorney should be someone who will advocate for you as zealously as possible. An attorney is obligated to do everything he can on his client’s behalf. The attorney should fight for you and fight for your rights as hard as you would fight for them yourself.

When looking for an attorney, find someone you trust. Meet with the attorney and make sure you believe they will do everything they can to get you out of jail, or in the case of appeal to spend the time making arguments based on you instead of using old briefs from old cases.  If you don’t feel that the lawyer will give your case everything he has, you shouldn’t hire him.
